Talking In Obscurity, "At the Mountains of Madness" by H.P. Lovecraft

Dark Adventure Radio Theatre

Distance makes the heart grow fonder, my dear Obscurists. I apologize for being on such a sparse and erratic upload schedule, but I have a good one for you today.

Speaking of distance, Steven and I are taking you to a faraway destination, "At The Mountains of Madness," by H.P. Lovecraft, not once but twice in this double feature review. Today we compare the novella version of this story, written by the man himself, and Dark Adventure Radio Theatre's adaptation of this story as a radio drama. Dark Adventure Radio Theatre is part of The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, so if you want to check them out, click the link below.

Talking In Obscurity, "A Heart That Works" by Rob Delaney

Rob Delaney

We're back after a little, okay, a long break. The point is Steven, and I are here for you. To help you get into a new book. What book? "A Heart That Works," by Rob Delaney. It is quite possibly one of the saddest things ever. Not just books. THINGS!

Talking In Obscurity, "Annihilation," by Jeff VanderMeer

Jeff VanderMeer

Today Obscurists Steven and I are talking about one of my favorites, "Annihilation" by Jeff VanderMeer. It's a weird cosmic horror that I've talked about before on this blog.

Talking In Obscurity, "The Hellbound Heart," by Clive Barker

Clive Barker

This is a special episode of Talking In Obscurity. James Reinhardt, who has written reviews before on WIO, joins Steven and me in discussing Clive Barker's "The Hellbound Heart." This is the story that inspired the movie "Hellraiser."
